Chuck Close
1940 Monroe, Washington, United States。
He is one of the world's leading modern artists. His art focuses on portraits of himself and his family and friends, often produced at a very large scale. Close typically begins with a photograph of a face, creating a painting or print through a complex grid-based reconstruction of the image that he accomplishes by hand through one of many techniques that are unique to Close's work.
I like this painting because it looks very special. Very creative painting. Later, through a search on Chuck Close. I knew he was suffering from severe dyslexia. Knew he was later to become an artist I feel very admirable. Throughout his painting career. He had tried a variety of different painting methods, such as crayons, graphite, prints and so on. His painting technique is very skilled, most of his work is in black and white performance, I feel so much harder than color. The grid works very amazing, perfect color matching, color bright, the overall visual effect is very good,

I like this work. Because of his simplicity bright colors, have a very strong visual effects. In particular, part of the whole spectacle, at first I thought it was a photo, because through the reflective mirror to see very clearly reflecting objects. I think this is highly painter painting techniques, I also like the way his performance, the entire picture has realistic feel, but when you watch carefully you can find a lot of painting techniques and only in painting embodies a visual results.
My Portraiture
I think this experience is very good. I'm really at MIT to learn a lot of different things. Such as this we have to learn how to make your own one frame. First we cut wood, I was the first to use chainsaw. First, building a stretcher. Have skills sure it is very secure. And then stretching a canvas, then doing the gesso.and we have blending gesso. Then gesso painting on canvas. Although the production process is somewhat complicated, but I do love the work. For me it is hard to come by experience, I feel that if I wanted to become a painter These are also the basic knowledge and skills.

Haven't an artist yet ...Haha ...
My portraits are my classmates and friends Safari. I am very glad that she will be my partner, I think she is very beautiful. I like the color of her skin, big eyes and her special costumes. I chose as my entire painting with black background color because the color of her dress is very bright, I think it can better reflect her. I tend to draw more realism, because it is the first time painted figure painting I also hope that she will like. Oil paint is very good, the color will remain longer, the color will remain much longer, but the use is very troublesome, I do not like the taste of smell is very strong. I think the painting pigments need more practice to good use.
